:applause: think this will make the atmosphere fantastic

although doubt I'll take them up on offer as you cant have a beer on these coaches can you?  and they don't get there till late do they?  anyone know the what happens usually?

feed.back

Maybe you should consider attending an AA meeting instaed of the game. :lager:

Yeah, you might be able to help if the coach breaks down **thumbup :silence:

It is a good gesture by the board and it will be good to see 8000 'noses down there if we get that many, but it would be nice if we could get a few more fans going to more away games, not just the freebies **thumbup

Great gesture by the board.. Free travel to the game for ST holders.

Thats great if you live in and around Brum.

I live in Bolton and have so far missed 4 games both home and away this season. Home games are a 190 mile round trip and the petrol to boot.

Away games are usually train or car depending on time and date.

It would be nice if a similar gesture was made to the loyal travelling fans of a cut price ticket for the game.

Afterall not all Blues fans live in Birmingham.

I along with fellow NW supporters WILL be at the game and do hope that we sell ALL 8,000 tickets and have 50 coaches on the way up the M1 and what should prove to be a great day out.

Andy.

I have been talking with my mates and we are thinking of getting the coach for the first time (usually train), just wondering if anyone off here usually uses them and can let me know what the crack is? i.e usual leaving time, how long before the game you arrive and the arrangements on the coach (drinks food etc...)

cheers

Usually good atmosphere on the coach, just sit back and chill.
Depends on time of match as to what time we leave.
no food or drinks on the coach so you have to bring your own.
we do have stops though so you can get food at the services.
dont worry though there is a toilet.

I`ve also never used them but a pal said they leave our ground, take you straight to the away end of the opposition ground then usher you straight into the ground.

Not really for me i prefer to have a little `explore` whenever i arrive anywhere and sample the delights of the local public houses, but as i said before its ideal for families.

Also making the Coventry and Burnley games kids for a quid :applause:

Wonder if i`d still pass for 15

thats my worry mate, there are a couple of pubs right by the ground so if we get there an hour or so before there is a bit of time to grab a tot (along with the ones we will have to sneek on)

also a few of the lads are on about taking the little ones as it is free... I would still do the coach but to be fair I can understand where they are coming from ;)

just get a ticket and get a coach ticket has which coach number you are on ( unreserved seating) and then drivers assistant usually comes round to collect the tickets all though some times they dont even bother coming round food and drink are both aloud but on coach just no alcohol or smoking allowed.

I usually get a coach with one of the pubs around the area (st andrews tavern etc...) its alot more of a laugh and its not st.andrews to ground to st.andrews its more like.

the one i mostly go to its:

pub to pub to ground to pub to pub.

Never been on one an official club one but might do this time have to find out whats happening.

The other times we have been to Barnsley we have always used the Prince of Wales pub at the bottom of the hill by the roundabout. Drank it dry once & the gaffer sent us off to the offy to buy some more!! Only a 10 min walk to the ground too. (up hill though)

hey i just looked on a website describing the ground and it says the stand with the away fans only holds 6000 all together so how can we get 8000 because i doubt they would split us up between two stands

jw cheers

i hope we can take 5000+!

I was at the Ricoh when we took 5000 fans, and the atmosphere in the away end was the best id been too away!

Lets hope we can reproduce it up at Oakwell

Away fans are housed in the North Stand (behind the goal) where the normal allocation for away supporters is 2,000 tickets. If demand requires it, then the whole of this stand can be allocated (6,000). The reason our fans are saying 8,000 is because that is how many Barnsley gave to Sunderland recently - the other 2,000 were housed down one half of the old West stand at the side for that match.
